If Arlo Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Gram Parsons, John Prine, Chris Smither, James McMurtry, Lyle Lovett and Steve Earle were sitting in a roadhouse bar, and Mike Maves took the stage to play, there would be a lot of heads nodding and toes tapping along in approval.
Well DONE!

Well I'll be cowkicked. That's Texas ranch lingo. Now I see what you've been up to for the last 15 years. Four beers? Not on my watch. Fourteen maybe. Give me a shout if you aren't ropin' cattle.

I wish I would have known about you gigging with Blue Rodeo. I try to see them every summer at the Amphitheatre.
I just heard some of your new tunes on Indie 911 and they are great. Please email me if you have any future shows in Toronto. Carney and I will be in the front row.
P.S. You gotta write a song about "Dr. Tongue...oooooooohhh"

Mike I was just sitting here working on the computer and listening to the CD. Man, it is great! ... I can still hear all the great riffs and harmonica from 466 Brock. Amazing how music takes you back ... Looking forward to seeing you all soon!
